For those of you who will be looking for a place
to stay. We have booked a block of rooms at the
Marriott
Hotel Inner Harbor
I can't
stress this enough BOOK EARLY !! There is a
medical convention the same weekend and if you wait a room will be
hard to find. The group rate we were quoted is $159 plus
tax, I think it comes in around $175. You can book two ways by
phone or via the internet (see link and # below) If you choose to do
it by phone the first thing you should tell them is that you would
like to make a reservation for the Schwartz/Collins wedding
block. If you don't you will not get the discounted rate !! We
have set aside 5 rooms for Friday and 35 for Saturday, if you
find that they are all full please let us know and we will expand
the block.
We choose the Marriott because it
is in walking distance of the reception. It is technically on
University property so the walk to and from is well lit and heavily
patrolled, not that Baltimore isn't safe or anything. We are
also planning a Sunday brunch at the hotel for those of you who are
still around.
